Poster campaign on organic awareness launched

Manipur Organic Mission Agency, Department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation, GoM in association with Diocesan Social Service Society (DSSS) launched a poster campaign on organic awareness at the training hall of DSSS today.
ICAR Manipur Centre, Joint Director Narendra Prakash graced the function as the chief guest while MOMA, Department of Horticulture & Soil Conservation Project Director K Debadutta Sharma, ICAR Manipur Centre Senior Scientist and in-charge ABIC Dr Subhra Saikat Roy and Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare advisor Sanjay Kumar attended as dignitaries too.
Speaking at the launching function, Narendra Prakash appealed to all the people to strive towards achieving and producing maximum number of organic produces by 2022 and to adopt the initiative of triple cropping in the country, which are the visions and the targets set by the Prime Minister in 2015 .
To promote this vision and to reach the set target, he added that the poster campaign will enable to generate awareness among the masses about organic farming/agriculture and its benefits.
He urged the farmers of the State to properly understand and adopt the new and improved methods/techniques taught by experts in the field of agriculture and horticulture.
