BJP meet discusses War on Drugs campaign

Co-chaired by chief minister N Biren Singh and party president A Sharda Devi, BJP Manipur Pradesh convened a special meet at its Nityaipat Chuthek office Thambal Shanglen, here on Saturday During the meeting attended by office bearers of BJP state senior leaders, district presidents and senior workers, chief minister N Biren appealed to party workers to take part in government's efforts to save environment as well as drive against poppy plantation and War on Drugs campaign.
He also said that BJP workers must work at their level best to reinstate natural environment in the state particularly on saving Koubru range and Loktak lake.
According to N Biren, BJP workers should contribute their mite in the government's War on Drugs campaign as well as in the drive against poppy plantation by reaching out to villages in the interior parts of the state.
He also lauded the role played by party workers in delivering welfare schemes launched by the government to beneficiaries and encouraged them to continue their service in providing benefits of further policies and programmes of the government to the people.
Hard works of party workers in the past have yielded success now and it is appreciable that party workers are showing dedication for the welfare of the people, he added.
All the participants in the special meet later took a collective pledge to work for the welfare of the people and work with dedication towards achieving the target of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas' vision.
