Imphal, November 13 2009: Self Style, Lt Col Hopeson Ningshen of NSCN (IM) is among the four persons mentioned in the charge sheeted by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigating into the murder of SDO, Dr Th Kishan and his two subordinate staff in February this year.

In another development, the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ukhrul today ordered Ukhrul police to submit progress report of the investigation into the case registered by the police on November 16 next.

In the charge sheet submitted for trial by the CBI into the murder case of SDO, Dr Kishan and his two co-staff murder case, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) recommended for trial to four persons.

Among them self style Lt Col Hopeson Ningshen of NSCN(IM) who is in the custody of the CBI is one, senior advocate Khaidem Mani who is the counsel of the father of the late Dr Kishan who filed a case to the Gauhati revealed.

The other three persons were I Yuhar alias Abo Chibo of Chuinem or Tainem village under Somtal Police Station of Ukhrul district, SK Them Horshang alias Themshang of Apong village under Kamjong police station of the same district and one Johni whose resident is yet to know, Mani further revealed.

Khaidem Mani in a press briefing this evening at his resident said SP, Ganesh Verma, CBI, SCB, Imphal investigating into the case completed the investigation and submitted the charge sheet in the first week of this month November to Ukhrul Chief Judicial Magistrate.

Accusing the four persons as prime culprits in the sensitive murder case, the CBI also prayed the CJM to conduct trial against them under the FIR case registered under 120-B, 364/368-A/302/392/304 under IPC and UA (P) Act, 1967 under section 16 .

CBI taken up the case after two cases separately registered at Ukhrul and Senapati district with regard to the murder of the SDO and his two staff murder case amalgamated together.

SDO Kasom Khullen, Dr Thingnam Kishan and his two sub-ordinate staff, Mandal, Y Token and driver, A Rajen were murdered by some cadres of the underground NSCN(IM) after kidnapped from near the DC, Ukhrul office.

They were kidnapped on February 13 and later found murder brutally under the Lukhrabi Bridge in Senapati District in the morning of February 17 .

In the another development to the case filed by the father of deceased Dr Kishan, SDO, Khasom Khullen, court ordered Ukhrul police to submit progress report of the case on November 16 .

The same court, mention may be made, had directed the Ukhrul police station to register a case against Pankaj Kumar Pal, the then DC of the district recently.

The Ukhrul CJM ordered the Ukhrul police as per directive to register a case against the former DC on October 13 last and investigate into his involvement in the murder of the SDO and his subordinate staffs within two weeks time.

With expiry of the date line given by the court, father of late Dr Kishen, Surendra filed a petitioned to the CJM Ukhrul once again on November 9.After the hearing, the court asked the police to furnish a progress report of the investigation into the case on November 16, Mani said in the press briefing which his junior advocate Yumnam Devadutta.
