Kanggui, September 12 2013:
Kuki Students' Organization (KSO), Sadar (KSO-SH) Hills today announced its endorsement of the decision of Deputy Commissioner/DPC, Senapati to transfer 19 Job Cards of Sanaching Village to Samulamlan Block of Churachandpur district.
President of the student body Thangminlen Kipgen said that Sanaching village had been burnt/destroyed completely in 1993-94 during ethnic conflict in the hills of Manipur.
The villagers of Sanaching then left the village and settled at H.Champhai village for the last many years.
Tracing back the history, Thangminlen Kipgen continued, saying that the Chief of Sanaching and his relatives bought a piece of land in Samulamlan Block under Churachandpur district for re-settlement of the villagers and accordingly the re-settled village was inaugurated on the 7th Sept.2013 in the presence of district officials of Churachandpur.
In the light of these facts, the decision of the Deputy Commissioner/DPC, Senapati to transfer 19 Job Cards of Sanaching village to Samulamlan Block of Churachandpur is legitimate and genuine beyond doubt, noted Thangminlen Kipgen, while adding that the student body fully endorsed the decision of DC/DPC, Senapati and urged everyone not to disrupt or play spoilsport with the genuine decision of the DC/DPC.
