State logs 105 new cases, zero death

Imphal, October 11 2021:
The state on Monday reported zero new death case and 105 new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 1794 samples tested, registering a positivity rate of 5.85 per cent against 7.43 per cent recorded on Sunday.
The active caseload has come down to 1707 out of which 199 (11.66 per cent) are in home isolation, 612 (35.85 per cent) in CHICs, 552 (32.34 per cent) in CCCs and 344 (20.15 per cent) in hospitals.
Among the hospitalised patients, 77 are admitted to ICU/HDU wards, 67 are on oxygen support and 26 on ventilator support.
However, there is no report on number of patients on oxygen and ventilator support from JNIMS even though it has 170 patients.
On the other hand, there are six patients on oxygen support in different CCCs.
As of Monday evening, 546 beds including 102 ICU/HDU beds are available in different hospitals.
There is no updated information on bed vacancy in other facilities but as of Sunday evening 2820 beds were available in different Covid Care Centres and 417 beds (26 ICU/HDU) in district hospitals and CHCs.
So far, the state has recorded 92,708 positive cases and 1511 fatalities since the beginning of the second wave of the pandemic.
The current month has recorded 1524 new cases and 30 fatalities out of which 962 new cases and 17 fatalities were added in the last seven days alone.
According to official reports, the 105 new positive cases included 101 people (45 male & 56 female) from among the general population and 4 personnel of Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) whose samples were detected at RIMS (1), JNIMS (12) and other testing centres (92).The positive cases from among the general population are from Imphal East (24), Imphal West (48), Thoubal (4), Bishnupur (3), Kakching (1), Ukhrul (4), Churachandpur (1), Senapati (1), Tamenglong (1) and Pherzawl (14) .
In the last 24 hours, 127 patients were discharged from home isolation (49), RIMS (7), JNIMS (8), CCCs (54) and CHICs (9) .
The recovery rate is 97.06 per cent.
In the last 24 hours, 652 D-type and 174 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities.
Only 2162 vaccine doses were administered on Sunday and the cumulative number of vaccinated individuals has reached 12,31,236, out of which only 5,41,702 are fully vaccinated.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of totalcases in different districts are Imphal West (42,332), Imphal East (27,005), Thoubal (9384), Churachandpur (10,089), Kangpokpi (2767), Tamenglong (3271), Bishnupur (9080), Senapati (2214), Ukhrul (2827), Kakching (6360), Chandel (2303), Noney (1064), Tengnoupal (1047), Jiribam (1020), Kamjong (884) and Pherzawl (461) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (628), Imphal East (444), Thoubal (172), Churachandpur (159), Kangpokpi (59), Tamenglong (13), Bishnupur (l89), Senapati (10), Ukhrul (37), Kakching (110), Chandel (35), Noney (4), Tengnoupal (13), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 39,352 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 24,321 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 4,27,611 tests per million population against the national average of 4,17,693 TPM.
Case fatality rate came down to 1.54 per cent while the cumulative positivity dipped to 9.20 per cent.
