Imphal, November 07 2021:
Pointing out that the historic June 18 uprising occurred under BJP rule, Khundrak-pam MLA Th Lokeshwar has called upon the people to stay alert from BJP and its diabolic agenda in the state.
Inaugurating the Tangkham Ahanjao Ground at Tangkham Makha Leikai on Sunday, which he renovated by constructing compound fencing, ground levelling, constructing drainage and installing floodlight system, Lokeshwar said that BJP itself is showing the incompetence of the BJP led government in the state by its attempt to buy off Congress MLAs.
As for Congress, the party played major role in building the country and it will continue its work in a steady manner.
The party will field candidates in all the 60 assembly constituencies after discussing with higher authorities, he said.
Lokeshwar predicted that no party can win absolute majority in the 2022 state assembly election and a coalition government will come.
It is unfortunate for the chief minister to use hill-valley relationship as propaganda to win elections and it is unbecoming of a leader of the state.
He alleged the CM of instilling a wave of communalism among local youth clubs by calling their representatives for meeting.
He also questioned the policy of the government on overstay by non-locals who entered the state on ILP pass.
Maintaining that the fate of the indigenous people of the state will be doomed once railway service reaches Imphal, he urged the public to understand the strategy of RSS and BJP.
Lokeshwar further spoke about the developmental works he had taken up in Khundrakpam AC despite not being a cabinet minister and said that anybody can compare them with any of the former CM's constituency.
He appealed to the people of his AC to choose the right candidate, who can bring development and a bright future in the constituency.
He will happily accept the people's mandate if they find another candidate more competent than him, he said.
Local elder Khulem Jugen, Khundrakpam GP ward member Ng Pravabati, Haraorou Tangkham GP ward members L Memcha and Ng Bhimo were also present at the inauguration function.
