Parents, teachers should cooperate for child's bright future: Fr Joseph

"Parents are busy in their professions and find no time to visit the school and take interest in their child's progress which leaves them in the dark about the performance and the problems of their own ward", said Rev Fr Joseph KS SDB, Rector, Don Bosco, Maram and pointed out that parents and teachers need to cooperate with each other intelligently while training a child for a bright future.
Rev Fr Joseph was speaking at the Parents' Day celebration of Saint Francis de Sale (SFS), Daili village in Sadar Hills.
He graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Saint Francis De Sale (SFS), Daili celebrated Parents' Day in commemoration of recognizing, uplifting, and supporting the role of parents in nurturing children for future at its Mini Stadium here on Saturday.
Fr Joseph further said that parents needs to find out the hidden potentiality of their wards and give them the opportunity to develop and hone their talents.
He also lamented that these days, teacher and parents are not interacting with each other.
"Parents and teacher should also connect to discuss the performance, personal, as well as academic problems of a child and make joint efforts to solve the problems", asserted Rev Fr Joseph.
While honouring the parents, Fr Kurian, Principal, SFS Daili village said, "The parents to be honored today are 'good enough' parents who spent time with their kids and talked about the world they live in and shared love" .
Fr Kurian also expressed gratitude to all parents, Daili village authority and villagers, school board, well-wishers, and teaching staff for making the institute a tool of educational communication in the entire areas.
The celebration was attended by parents and guardians of the students.
It was marked by various cultural shows, a short play, choreography, dances, etc by the students in honour of their parents.
Toppers in various examinations were also impressively felicitated during the function while SFS Choir enthralled the crowd with their melodious songs.
