Poster Campaign to end violence against women and children

As a part of International fortnight campaign to end violence against women, All Tribal Women's Organisation (ATWO) Chandel and Rural Education and Action for Change - Manipur (REACH-M) oraganised a poster-campaign on Saturday.
Volunteers of the two organisations pasted several posters with different theme for ending violence against women and children at Pallel Bazar, Meipou, Kangshang, Aimol and Japhou Bazar.
ATWO's President Lalam Mate, REACH - M's Child Sponsorship Coordinator Darshim and Chingtam Nupi Apunba Lup's President Nungshi Devi also took part in the posters campaign among other.
Speaking in the sideline, K Muikham, Secretary ATWO told that the posters campaign was organised as a part of International fortnight campaign to end violence against women which was commenced since November 25 last.
And the campaign will be continued at different part of the District till December 10 .
Muikham stressed that the objective of the campaign is to spread the message for ending violence and crimes against women.
Every day crime against women and children is increasing rapidly.
The Secretary lamented that womens were not safe even in their own house and in their locality due to domestic violence, discrimination, rape, murder and other crimes were committed against the Women and children.
As such, the campaign was organised to stop violence against women and children as well as to deliver justice for them so that they can enjoy their rights, she added.
