Journalists Bijoy Kakchingtabam and Leimapokpam Sanjitkumar, who were arrested by Bishnupur district police commandos on alleged charges of recruiting cadres for a proscribed outfit, were granted bail by Special Judge NIA Court after no evidence supporting the charges were found during the investigation.
During the hearing of the case at the Special Judge NIA Court on Thursday, an NIA team investigating the case submitted a report, stating that no evidence could be found supporting the charges levelled against the duo by the police.
There was no mention of the name or details of the man, who the duo had allegedly tried to recruit for a proscribed outfit.
