Students apprise HRD Minister on MUSU revival

The students of Manipur University under the banner of Manipur University Students' Union Revival Demand Committee (MUSU RDC) have submitted a 16-point memorandum to Union Minister for Human Resource Development Dr MM Pallam Raju on May 24 apprising him of the need to revive Manipur University Students' Union (MUSU) in the interest of students' welfare.
Some of the points mentioned in the memorandum were revival of MUSU on or before May 30, opening of the western, northern and southern gates of the University on or before May 25, stopping frisking of students at the entrance gate of the university and improvement of university infrastructure such as installation of adequate number of computers at library, augmenting Wi-fi network and increasing number of bank transaction counters.
The students also demanded the authorities to look after the punctuality of the teachers and other non-teaching staffs and also invalidate the "vehicle pass" issued to contractors of the University.
