Imphal, October 27 2021:
The JAC formed in connection with the sexual assault of a minor from Chinikon village in Kangpokpi district in 2020, has charged the Public Prosecutor of placing fault upon the victim and allegedly prodding her to reach a compromise with the accused person in the case, which is being heard in the court of Special Judge POCSO, Senapati currently.
Addressing newspersons at Manipur Press Club here Wednesday, JAC chairman Mangijao Kamei said that during the course of the investigation of the case, police had interrogated the accused person, who confessed to have sexually assaulted the victim repeatedly.

Related documents for the same had already been submitted to Child Welfare Centre, Kangpokpi, as per its instructions, in October 2020, he conveyed.
