Cleanliness camp organised

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) Limited Divisional Retail Sales Office and Patanjali Yoga Samiti Chingmeirong jointly organised a cleanliness campaign as a part of Swachhata Hi Seva at the premises of Kangla, Imphal today.
The programme held to preserve and keep Kangla clean was led by Consumers Affairs and Public Distribution Minister Karam Shyam.
Deputy general manager of IOCL Divisional Retail Sales Office Imphal S Ibungoton, other officials and staff and volunteers of Patanjali Yoga Samiti Chingmeirong started the campaign from early morning.
Speaking to The Sangai Express, the Minister said that the Prime Minister of India launched the Swachhata Hi Seva to instill health, hygiene and cleanliness among the citizens.
Lauding the PM, and organisation for taking up the campaign, the Minister said that the campaign will not only make India/Manipur clean but help move forward towards positive development.
The Swachhata Hi Seva mission has given positive impact on the minds of the people and has brought a sense of responsible citizen, he said.
