NESHRO India's first ever Conference 2014 held at New Delhi

Imphal, September 21 2014:
The North East Students' Human Rights Organization (NESHRO, India) organized its first ever Conference at Sir Shankar Lal Hall, Delhi University on September 20 with Dr Thokchom Meinya, Member of Parliament Lok Sabha from Manipur as the Chief Guest.
Speaking during the conference, Dr.Meinya who was also a Professor in Mathematics and a writer, stressed the importance of 'Bridging the gaps of differences among different communities.
He said that "the earth is one of the planets under eight planets in the solar system" likewise "North east India has eight states which should function smoothly in peace and unity" .
Satish Sharma, Assistant Commissioner of Police, North Delhi and Miss Caroline Maninee, a students' activist were the Guests of Honor during the programme, while Fidelia Kharbangar, a student from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University was the moderator.

NESHRO: INDIA is an organization which has been formed by a group of students from the North Eastern states who are studying at different educational institutions mainly from Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University.
It has been founded on 30th May 2014 in Delhi.
It comes into existence after a long discussion and debates that have been taken place in many educational institutions all over the country among the North East students.
Among others, the objectives of the conference are to give awareness about your legal rights, educational rights and to rebuild national integrity and bring oneness to all communities.
