AR flags off National integration tour for Manipuri women

Keithelmanbi Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles, under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South), is organising a 14 days long National Integration Tour (NIT), under Op Sadbhavna, for 21 women across Manipur, from today to February 20, as part of the Assam Rifles's ongoing outreach programme to foster the spirit of National Integration across the country.
Colonel Operations and Coordinator of 9 Sector Assam Rifles, flagged off the tour from Keithelmanbi today.
During the interaction, Golonel Operations and Coordinator of 9 Sector Assam Rifles praised the women and their caretakers for showing keen interest and enthusiasm for the tour and encouraged them to take full advantage of this opportunity to imbibe new ideas and emphasized that Manipuri women should also spread the rich culture and heritage of Manipur while interacting with others in different parts of the country.
The tour will help the local women in comprehending the vast diversity, traditions and vibrant culture of the country and provide them an opportunity to visit various places.
Besides visit to religious places like Iskcon Temple, Prem Mandir, Govardhan Temple, Shri Krishan Janmbhoomi, Dwarikadhish Temple etc, the tour will also visit Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and other places of interest.
The tour is intended to broaden their horizon and provide an insight into the rich heritage of the country.
