At 680, Patsoi records highest number of vaccination

Patsoi MLA Ak Mirabai has thanked people of her assembly constituency for coming out in large number to vaccinate in the ongoing mass COVID-19 vaccination programme organised under the aegis of government of Manipur.
The highest ever vaccination of 680 people on a single day in the ongoing vaccination programme in Patsoi AC was recorded on Saturday at Patsoi part 1 and 2.Elated over large turnout of people for the vaccination at Patsoi Part 2 Makha Leikai community hall till late afternoon, Ak Mirabai thanked the people of the constituency for taking advantage from the vaccination programme.
Large turnout by people above 18 years of age in the vaccination programme while understanding importance of vaccination to prevent from COVID-19 indeed was result of her and government's appeal for vaccination, Mirabai said.
More people are now acknowledging the importance of vaccination and hence large turnout in vaccination programmes, she added.
In Thoubal district, a total of 71,184 people have been vaccinated against Covid-19 till Friday.
According to a report from district vaccination programme nodal officer Dr Ksh Memcha, 65,174 people have received first dose of Covid vaccine while 6010 people have been filly inoculated during the mass vaccination programme conducted in the district till Friday.
Vaccination programme continued to be held on Saturday in the district with vaccination done at 22 vaccination centres including at permanent centres namely Thoubal District Hospital, Lilong PHC and Yairipok CHC.
Meanwhile, in support of the measures being taken up by the government to contain the spread of COVID-19, social worker Deepak Laiphrakpam organised a mass vaccination programme as part of various welfare measures taken up by him in Langthabal assembly constituency.
Deepak is preparing to contest the 2022 general election from Langthabal AC and he organised a mass vaccination programme in coordination with volunteers of six clubs and organisations from Heirangoithong to Naorem Leikai.
Around 500 people were vaccinated during the mass vaccination programme conducted at YMDA club community hall, Naorem Leikai.
As part of the vaccination programme, Deepak distributed edible items to volunteers of the six clubs which coordinated in conducting the programme.
