Imphal, March 30 2011:
Examination Controller of Council of Higher Secondary Schools Manipur (CHSSM), Ak Tampakleima was injured when suspected students pelted stones at her vehicle in Thoubal district, official sources said today.
Tampakleima and her four colleagues were coming out after inspecting Lilong Haoreibi Higher Secondary School examination centre in Thoubal district after expelling a student for using unfair means in the ongoing Class-XII examination yesterday, sources said.
Tampakleima and her colleagues found a student copying answers from a mobile phone handset and immediately expelled him.
As they came after checking a nearby examination centre, their vehicle was stoned by suspected students, sources said adding that the Controller was released from a nearby hospital after first aid treatment.
So far 10 students have been expelled from various examination centres in the past five days for using unfair means, Council sources said.
A militant organisation had also earlier warned students not to use unfair means.
