PMGKY aids people in need

Imphal, April 26 2020:
Amidst the coronavirus outbreak that has forced people to stay indoors, the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana is providing relief to people in Manipur.
A beneficiary, Dimduannung Pamei of Noney district received a sum of Rs 2000 in his account under PM-KISAN scheme.
"I am very thankful to the Government for the help.
This (money) will help my family meet ends meet," he said adding he will be able to take up agricultural activities with the money.
Huijinang Gangmei of Kaiphundai, Tamenglong district and another beneficiary Thingom Nirmala Devi of Jiribam district also thanked the Government for distributing 5 kg of rice under PMGKY.
Bishorjit, a migrant worker from Tinsukia, Assam, who works in a plywood factory at Wabagai also thanked the Government for provide rice during the lockdown.
Chumnath Nath and Basugupta from Assam are also migrant workers staying at Wabagai who have received the aid under PMGKY.
W Neeru from Kakching district received 15 kg of rice for her family under PMGKY.
She said she is grateful for the aid provided by the Government.
