CME on cardiovascular diseases held at RIMS -

A winter CME on Cardiovascular diseases was held today at the Jubilee Hall, RIMS.
The CME was organised jointly by Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Unit & Cardiology Unit of RIMS .
Prof A Santa Singh, Director, RIMS; Prof Ch Arunkumar Singh, Medical Superintendent; Prof Sanjoy Kumar, Consultant, Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banarus Hindu University; Prof Th Sachindeba Singh, Unit Head, Cardiology Unit, RIMS and Dr Th Chito Singh, Unit Head of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, RIMS graced function as chief guest, president, special guest and guests of honour respectively .
Addressing the gathering, Prof Santa said that the presence of world renowned super specialist doctors in the CME will give benefits to the young doctors .
He said that knowledge and experience of Prof Sanjoy Kumar will help in establishing a super-speciality unit in RIMS .
Dr Saroj Mondal from Kolkata, Dr Sarajit Samanta from Kolkata and Dr Chinmoy Majumdar from Guwahati delivered on the topics Myocardial Infection in Young, Role of ARNI in Heart Failure and Atrial Fibrillation and its Management respectively in the first scientific session I while Dr Sanjoy Kumar and Dr Lalit Kapoor, RTIICS, Kolkata delivered on the topics Surgical Management of Heart Failure and Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery respectively in the scientific session II .
