MACA, Lamkang Civil Societies condemn bomb blast

Maha Area Chiefs Association (MACA) has taken strong exception to the ghastly bomb blast that took place bn November 13 at the 18th Battalion Assam Rifles compound, Chandel, conveyed a' press release issued by MACA secretary.
"We believe that this blast attack is an act for cowards which aims at disturbing the peaceful relationship between the public and the force", it stated.
' MACA expressed heartfelt condolence to the bereaved families.
MACA also appealed to those who are responsible for this dastardly act to refrain from resorting violence and disturbance in the area.
It also urged the State Government to initiate a proper probe on the matter and book the culprit at the earliest.
Lamkang Civil Societies, namely the Lamkang Naga Kver Kunpun (LNKK), Lamkang Snu Lop (LSL) and the Lamkang ' Kurchuknao Kunpuh (LKK), in an emergency meeting held on Nov 14, strongly condemned the bomb blast at Mahamani Village, Chandel District Headquarters which cost the lives of two AR Jawans.
A press release issued by president, of LNKK, president of LSL and secretary of LKK said, "As a peace loving community, the Lamkang people are saddened by this violent act of cowardice, and the untimely demise of the Assam Rifle personnel" .
The meeting extended heartfelt condolences to the family members of the Assam Rifles.
The meeting also urged every group and organisation to refrain from committing such violence and cause fear and harm among the people.
It called upon all communities to believe in the principle of peaceful co-existence and harmony.
While condemning the in-cident, the meeting prayed for God's blessings to the bereaved family members and for speedy recovery of the injured Jawans.
Further, the meeting appealed the district administration to remain vigilant against the recurrence of similar incidents.
Meanwhile, Machi Block Chairmen Association and Chothe Chiefs Association, Chandel District, have vehemently condemned the IED blast, conveyed a press release issued by president of Machi block Chairmen Association and advisor of Chothe Chiefs Association.
The two associations further appealed the group concerned not repeat such act in the district.
It also expressed their deepest condolence to the bereaved families of the AR Jawans and wished for early recovered of the injured Jawans.
