Rights of PWDs discussed

Kanggui, September 14 2013 :
A one day seminar on "Rights and Advocacy" organized jointly by MANEDA, SDPAM and ATDUSH was conducted at Kanggui Women Welfare Organization Community Hall here today.
Around 50 Persons With Disability (PWDs) from within Kanggui areas attended the seminar.
Speaking on the topic of 'Persons With Disability Act 1995, Rehabilitation Council of India Act and National Trust Act 1999', the seminar facilitator T.Peter Rongnamei, Director MANEDA highlighted various provisions under the Constitution of India as well as on Schemes and Entitlements for Persons With Disability.
Mangkholun Khongsai, President of All Tribal Disabled Union Sadar Hills while briefing the activities of ATDUSH since its inception, highlighted the various constraints faced by the organization.
Ex-President of SDPAM Johnson Kaikho explained about SDPAM and the various hardships faced by the organization.
