Imphal, May 14 2020:
Communist Party of India, Manipur State Council (CPI, MSC) has alleged that there is no provision in the Rs 20 lakh crore financial package revealed by Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman that will uplift the living standard of working-class people, especially migrant workers and daily wagers.
The country is witnessing ever-increasing cases of COVID-19 even with the imposition of Nationwide due to drawbacks in India's healthcare system, said L Sotinkumar (CPI, MSC) in a statement today.
Saying that the working-class people are the backbone of the India economy and uplifting them is the need of the hour, Sotinkumar alleged that funding more money on micro, small and medium enterprises only is a ploy to make the rich richer.
