BJP meeting disruption reaches Parliament

The incident in which Congress workers disrupted a BJP meeting yesterday at Thoubal Moijing thus forcing it to end abruptly with police opening fire to control the situation has been taken up in Parliament session today, Sh Shantikumar Sharma, President, BJP, Manipur Pradesh informed.
Addressing media persons, Shantikumar Sharma said that following the disgraceful incident, the BJP has pressed for imposition of President's Rule in the state, on the floor of Parliament, pointing out the fact that such types of incidents will hamper the conduct of a free and fair election in Manipur.
He further said that, the BJP leaders met the PM regarding the incident, however the PM declined to give any comment on the issue.
After the meeting with the PM, Prakash Javadekar, BJP, National spokesperson and election-in- charge, Manipur has demanded imposition of PR in the state of Manipur during zero hour in the Rajya Sabha today.
Supporting the proposal, SS Ahluwalia, Deputy Leader, Opposition, Rajya Sabha also urged for a CBI probe into the incident, Shantikumar Sharma informed.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof S Tikendra, VP, BJP, Manipur Pradesh said that the Congress party is only trying to portray that it is secular in its approach, but in reality, the party acts on communal grounds.
The Congress should apologize and clarify for the act.
