Health awareness cum mega free medical camp organised

International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA) organized its annual "Health Awareness cum Mega Free Medical Camp- 2018" at Gularthol,Jiribam today.
The organization also opened its Jiribam branch office yesterday at Babupara in the district.
The health awareness cum free health camp which was organized under the aegis of Medical Directorate, Manipur was attended by the medical, nurses and paramedical staffs of RIMS, State TB Cell, District Hospital, Jiribam and Centre of Medical and Sales Representatives Union, North East Region, CRU (NER), Imphal.
Delivering the presidential speech at the inaugural function of the health awareness cum free medical camp, IPSA president Joychandra Konthoujam informed that the organization has been conducting the "Health Awareness cum Mega Free Medical Camp- 2018" since the past many years in different venues/places of the State with the firm belief that health is must for a prosperous State and for the well being of the Manipuri society.
He went on to assert that the organization has been considering to organise a mega health camp at Jiribam since long time back, in view of the poor health care system in the district while exuding confidence that it (health awareness cum mega camp) will be quite beneficial to the people of the district.
Informing the public about the health scheme (Chief Ministergi Hakselgi Tengbang, CMHT) being taken up by the Government for the public, the president also asked the people to take full benefits of the scheme and assured that IPSA will endorse all possible help to the people if/when required.
Joychandra further conveyed that a branch office of the organization was also opened in the district yesterday with the main objectives being to look over the plights/problems of the district and said that it will exert pressure upon the authorities concerned for its redressal apart from battling various social issues.
The function was also attended by Peter Salam, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam (also the CEO of Jiribam ZP), E Okendro Singh, Chief Medical Officer, Jiribam and H Ibotombi Khuman, advisor, IPSA as the chief guest and guests of honour respectively.
Altogether around 700 people participated in the health camp where medicines and facilities for accessing various laboratory tests, x-ray and' ECG were also given at free of cost.
