Imphal, February 09 2014:
Chairman of Board Secondary Education Manipur (BSEM) P Dhanakumar has advised parents to guide their children properly to help them exhibit their innate talents and build up human resource.
He was speaking as a presidium member of a day-long awareness cum discussion programme on "how to secure high marks in HSLC Examination" organized by United Development Association (UDA), Khangabok at Khangabok Government High School in Thoubal district today.
Dhanakumar further said that people are becoming insincere day by day in every field.
Some parents encourage their children in using unfair means to get high marks in examinations, while many private institutions are increasingly involved in commercializing education.
In such a grim scenario, the people must be sensitized on the need to reform education system for the betterment of the society, he noted.

The BSEM Chairman further maintained that marks alone are not important.
The students should be encouraged to gain maximum knowledge from their education.
They would secure high marks if they are knowledgeable.
They should also not feel shy to ask questions to their teachers, if they have any doubt.
Dhanakumar also appealed to all concerned to render cooperation to the Board to conduct the ensuing HSLC Examination fairly and smoothly.
Joint Secretary of BSEM Ph Nandakumar Sharma, who also attended the programme as a presidium member, said that knowledge is everything in the present society.
There is no place for ignorant people.
A student would definitely score high marks if he/she has the desired knowledge gained from the school education.
