Students union seeks remedial steps for College

Students' Union of Kha Manipur College, Kakching has decried the pathetic condition of the college and its surrounding areas including the approach road to the college.
A press release issued by the union stated that the road which has bee deprived of any repairing for almost 15 years has continued to cause immense inconveniences to the students as well as the passers-by.
The school has remained a flood prone area as overflowing of water from Sekmai river cause flood at the school campus whenever there is heavy rainfall, it added.
Lack of proper fencing/wall of the school has resulted in losing many school equipments including computers, generator, water pump etc, it asserted while adding that many outsiders enter the school premises without permission also.
The above reasons have damaged the academic atmosphere of the school and have caused grievances to the students.
The students' union has sought immediate attention of the State Government and the authority concerned and warned that the students will resort to class boycott and protests if their grievances are not heard and remedial steps are not taken up at the earliest.
