The medical team of 12 Bihar of 9 Sector Assam
Rifles under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) saved the life of a
snake bite victim namely Sorenjoy (33) of Hiyangthang on Au-
gust 28.
The victim was bitten by a poisonous snake and was
rushed to the unit hospital of 12 Bihar in a critical condition.
The victim was attended by the medical team and necessary
first aid and anti-snake bite venom injections were adminis-
tered, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S).
In a similar endeavour, another snake bite victim namely
OK Nobin s/o (L) OK Pochou of Pakhangkhong Leirak,
Thoubal district was saved by the medical team of 2 Assam
Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs IGAR
(South) on August 29.
He was bitten by a venomous snake while farming and was
rushed to the unit hospital of 2 Assam Rifles.
The victim was
attended by the medical team and necessary first aid was
administered.
Later the victim was referred to District Hospi-
tal, Thoubal.
In yet another effort to reach out to local populace, 20
Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of
HQ IGAR (South) assisted St Peter's School, Japhou village,
Chandel Dist by providing clean drinking water to the School.
The locals expressed their gratitude towards the Assam Rifles
for extending their help.
