Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Department has approved allocation of 196 kilolitres of petrol and diesel quantity of 228 kilolitres to 37 fuel outlets spread across the State for sale to the general public, commercial vehicles, agricultural purposes, Government offices and institutions as well as vehicles transporting students.
A Department order datelined July 22 approved petrol allocation of 12 kilolitres each to four retail outlets of Imphal West district, three in Imphal East district, and one outlet each in the districts of Bishnupur, Churachandpur, Senapati, Chandel, Ukhrul and Tamenglong.
For Thoubal district, two outlets have been allocated 12 kilolitres each with one outlet issued half the quantity.
With regarding to diesel allocation, three retailers have been enlisted in Imphal West district, four in Imphal East, two each in Thoubal, Bishnupur and Senapati districts.
Moreover, one fuel outlet in Churachandpur, Chandel and Tamenglong have also been allocated 12 kl of diesel fuel.
For petrol/diesel sale to school vans/buses etc, M/s Tuks & Bons Service Station, Hatta has been allocated petrol quantity of 12 kilolitres and the same quantity of diesel, while Ms K Nilo Singh, Langjing has listed as the filling centre for oil tankers/LPG bullets/FCI & PD trucks, the order mentioned.
The diesel quantity for commercial vehicles such as bus and trucks which was plying on inter-district or inter-state service has been limited to 40 litres per vehicle.
