Boost to Mobile Health Services in the hills

Imphal, September 19 2014 :
Altogether four ambulances for Mobile Health services were handed over to the respective Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of three hill districts of Chandel, Churachandpur and Ukhrul by Chief Minister O.Ibobi during a simple function at his office campus here today.
The found ambulances included an Advance Life Support ambulance and an ordinary ambulance for Chandel district and an ambulance each for Churachandpur and Ukhrul districts.
Apart from the Advance Life Support ambulance, the other three ambulances carry basic life support facilities.

Today's programme was initiated under the establishment of Mobile Health Units in Border Areas (BADP, 2011-2012) scheme which comes under the State Planning department.
The total cost of the four ambulances is to be around Rs 77 lakhs.
The Chief Minister handed over the ambulances in the presence of Chief Secretary P..CLawmkunga, Principal Secretary Barun Mitra and and top officials of State Planning Department.
