Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) has strongly condemned the inhuman act of Manipur Police in killing Sapam Robinhood and injuring many students while supporting JCILPS and protested against the controversial Manipur Regulation of Visitors Tenants and Migrant Workers Bill 2015 which is in favour of non-Manipuris.
A press note by KSA said that imposing curfew to suppress people's protest has worsened the situation of common people while condemning the Govt.'s policy to shut down all schools and colleges in the present scenario.
KSA also asked the Govt.'s commitment on education sector who declared "education sector should not be disturbed even during war" time.
Urging the Govt.not to politicize the issue KSA demanded to open the schools and colleges from July 13 failing which warned to shoulder sole responsibility for violating Right to Education.
Reformist Students' Front (RSF) also condemned the killing of Sapam Robinhood by state force and asked the Govt.whether imposing curfew or shutting down educational institutions will be able to suppress the irate public.
All Manipur Nupi Marup, Imphal City District Council and Chingmeirong Nupi Kanglup Association also staged a sit-in protest on Friday at Chingmeirong Khongnang Ani Karak condemning the killing of Sapam Robinhood by state police.
Meira Paibis who participated in the sit-in protest also condemned Govt.'s controversial bill that supports non-Manipuris which is the main factor of the current mass movement.
All Manipur Muslims (Meetei Pangal) Welfare Association (AMPWA) while condemning the inhuman killing of Robinhood also demanded the Govt.to fulfill the demands of JCILPS at earliest.
India Sports Sangh, Manipur Pradesh also strongly condemned the young student's killing and demanded the resignation of all MLAs before the situation turns worse which might lead to an incident like June 18 .
Meanwhile, Moirang Hanuba Youth Development Club condemning the brutal killing of Robinhood by state police blamed the Govt.for exercising dictatorship to rule and reconfirmed to extend support for any activities regarding with the implementation of ILP system in the state.
All Manipur Nupi Marup also condemned the killing incident of Robinhood and organized sit-in protests, torch rallies and blockades at different parts of the state including Kshetrigao, Khurai Lambi, Keirao,Wangkhei of Imphal East and Sekmai, Lamsang, Patsoi, Konthoujam of Imphal West apart from Thoubal District and Bishnupur District.
Communist Party of India, Manipur State Council in its Secretariat meeting on Saturday discussed the current scenario of the State on ILP issue and demanded to withdraw the Manipur Regulation of Visitors Tenants and Migrant Workers Bill 2015 and replace with a bill which will safeguard the indigenous people of the state.
All Lilong Chajing Clubs Organization (ALCCO) while declared to fully support the ongoing movement of Manipuri people to implement ILP system in Manipur expressed its deep griefon the bereaved families of brave Robinhood who sacrificed his life for future generation and to all the injured students in the ongoing agitation.
Meanwhile, All Manipur Nupi Marup, Kangmong Youth Welfare Club (KYWC), Meira Paibis and Nisa Bandh Committees on Friday organized a torch rally participated by around 1000 women from nine localities of Kangmong showing full support to JCILPS.
Arapati Maning Leikai Women Association also organized a rally demanding to withdraw the Manipur Regulation of Visitors Tenants and Migrant Workers Bill 2015 and staged a sit-in protest at the office of the Association.
Samuruo Makha Leikai Maira Paibi Lup and Social Development Club jointly organized a torch rally to implement ILP system in the state.
Nagaram Women Society (Meira Paibi) also has deeply condoled the death of Sapam Robinhood who was killed by state force.
