XI ANSAM General Conference begins

Ukhrul, March 30 2015 :
Introductory session of the XI All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM) began Monday evening in the presence of UNC president Gaidon Kamei and Ukhrul DC Hrisheekesh Arvind Modak as introductory guests.
The session that commenced at around 8 p.m.at TNL Ground in Ukhrul Town with the invocation prayer by Parish Priest Fr Mario Matuingai was also attended by TKS president joel Ankang, TNL president V Weapon Zimik, Naga Women's Union (NWU) president LM Tabitha.
Meanwhile, the organizers have informed that till the day first of the event a total of 450 delegates from different Naga districts of the State have arrived Ukhrul town, adding that many more are expected to arrive from Nagaland on day second.
Held under the theme "Shared Future: Our Collective Responsibility" the three-day event which is being hosted by TKS will be graced on day two by Nagaland Chief Minister TR Zeliang and MLA Manipur ST Victor Nunghlung as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively.
The introductory session was still in progress at the time of filing this report.
