Mizoram Governor calls on OIL, ONGC leaders

Mizoram Governor Lt Gen (Rtd) Nirbhay Sharma on Wednesday held interaction with leaders of OIL, ONGC and Geology & Mineral Resources at Governor's Conference Room and apprised the oil and gas exploration companies that Mizoram is expecting them to discover Hydrocarbon within this year.
The Governor also apprised the leaders of OIL and ONGC to make things ready in advance as to the profit share Mizoram is to get before Hydrocarbon is discovered.
The Governor asked the Company leaders of their work and the progress they have made so far and told them of his plan to visit their work sites.
He assured them of his readiness to help in their problem if there is any.
The Governor advised the Company leaders to utilize the Corporate Social Responsibility (CRF) fund in such a meaningful and profitable way for the benefit of the general people.
He opined using CSR especially for Healthcare and Youth Skill Training would be more profitable.
The Governor also told the Company leaders of his opinion that they may make useful of Mizoram University.
Leaders of ONGC and OIL on their part highlighted their ongoing work and progress so far through power point presentation and said that they hope to discover Hydrocarbon from the exploration site within short time from now.
The Company leaders acknowledged the cooperation of not only Chief Minister and staff and from the general people 'unlike in other places' where they had worked.
Meanwhile, they said that unlike in other places they used to face problem in transportation of machines due to narrow roads which compels them to spend more time than planned.
