Myanmar delegates call on CM

A team of 13 Myanmarese-Manipuri delegates called on Chief Minister N Biren at Chief Minister's Secretariat today.
Expressing profound pleasure on meeting the delegates, N Biren accorded warm welcome and presented the Manipuri traditional Leirung-Phee scarfs to the delegates.
The Chief Minister said that bilateral relations between India and Myanmar has improved in the recent years.
A friendly football match between the women teams of Mandalay and Manipur were organised and a two-day interregional media interaction programme was conducted as part of the ongoing Manipur Sangai Festival this year, N Biren asserted.
The Chief Minister informed the Myanmarese-Manipuri delegates that the State Government is putting all possible efforts to launch Imphal-Mandalay bus service at the earliest.
He is hopeful hope that the healthy relation would boost human contact especially among Manipuri people of the two countries.
The Myanmarese-Manipuri delegates also presented gifts to the Chief Minister.
