Fans to airlift Post Mark members for Metallica concert

Fans of the then local rock band--Post Mark (PM) is planning to airlift four of its members to make them witness the forthcoming Metallica concert in Bangalore next month.
The four Post Mark members are Boycha Konjengbam (Bassist), Ingocha Thingom(Guitarist), Paras Nongmaithem and Bipin Sanjenbam(both Drummers) .
�Our effort is to give a tribute to the Post Mark�, says Keisham Prameshor, a Post Mark fan.
�The idea to make Post Mark members attend Bangalore show was initiated through Rock Music Manipur (RRM) -a mailing list and Post Mark fans group in the social networking site Facebook in the last few days�.
RRM has around 370 members while Post Mark fans group has as many as 803 members and still counting.
A pre-show event will also be organised besides offering to watch the Metallica show, he added.
Post Mark, a Manipur based metal band in the mid-nineties,used to rock the traditionally music loving state with their own composed tracks besides performing most of Metallica covers.
But now except the then Drummer Paras, most of the band members have already taken up different occupations for the livelihood after the expiry of their vocalist Abungcha Kshetrimayum sometime ago.
Meanwhile Post Mark fans across the globe as part of giving tribute for their memorable performance contributed �enough resources� for the travel and accommodation of the band members at Bangalore.
�The move was initiated with one of our colleague Ringo Pebam in Bangalore", Samom Roshan,another fan recalled.
Thrash pioneers Metallica is slated to perform on at Bangalore Palace Ground, Main Palace, Bangalore, on October 30 as part of the Sonisphere festival after their Delhi performance at F1 Rocks, Leisure Valley, Sector 29, Gurgaon on October 28 .
But why on Post Mark alone! �Because they reflects our roots in their shows by introducing indigenous musical tunes and traditional outfits.
To me they are something different from others�, Prameshor, an employee of Doordarshan Kendra Guwahati who watched Post Mark concert for the first time when he was just Class VIII said.
