4-days free health camp begins at Khengjoi Block

The 4-days free health camp to be conducted at 7 different villages of Khengjoi Block to provide RBSK screening, routine immunization, free health checkup and malaria test has began since yesterday.
A team led by MO in- charge, PHC Moreh Dr Kh Santikumar visited Primary Health Sub-Centre which cover 7 villages of Khengjoi Block, located 170 km away from Moreh in the hills of Chandel district and conducted free health camp yesterday.
In the camp, the villagers were provided free health check-up and free medicines while pregnant were administered TT injection.
Polio drops and deworming tablets were also given to the children with the support of a team led by Tovir, district community mobilizer Chandel, and Dr Bidiyaluxmi and other 20 staff of PHC Moreh and RBSK.
District community mobilizer Chandel, Tovir said that the they plan to conduct health camp at Yangoulen Sub-Center covering 11 villages on the second day today.
However, the staff faced lots of inconvenience to conduct the camp due to bad roads and connectivity, she added.
