Club seeks Govt's attention

A press release issued by secretary,BamonLeikai Youth Club, Yairipok, Sanjoy Hidam, today sought the State Govemments attention on issues related to lack of proper maintenance of public places and further questioned the functioning of Municipal Council, Yairipok.
According to the press release, huge garbage disposal near the market and Community Health Centre, Yairipok is causing immense inconveniences to the people at market and patients in the hospital.
Yairipok Municipal Council has not taken any measures to dispose the garbage and with no Chairperson of the Council, due to internal dispute inside the council, the people of Yairipok has no where to go to address the matter, it stated.
The drain near the market with no lid or covering, have caused serious mishaps and is unhealthy.
Lack of proper garbage disposal system coupled with no public loo at Tampha bazar, has raised serious health and hygiene problems for the people, it added.
It further urged the authority concerned to look into the matter and appealed the Govt to intervene while cautioning that the locals would be forced to launch stringent stir if the grievances of the people are not heard.
