Lions Club of Imphal Valley continues tree plantation

Imphal, June 23 2019:
As part of its continuous endeavour to conserve the environment, Lions Club of Imphal Valley in collaboration with Citizens' Club, Soibam Leikai, Imphal East observed "Environment Month cum Tree Plantation Project" at the premise of the later today.
Around 50 tree saplings were planted in and round the premises of Citizens' Club.
Speaking to reporters on the sideline of the programme, Lions' Club of Imphal Valley president Dr N Romi Singh conveyed that the programme was conducted with the firm determination to alleviate the growing impact of global warming and climate change in the State.

Romi said today's programme was the second edition of observing Environment Month cum Tree Plantation Project after conducting the first edition at Nongpok Sekmai.
He lauded the volunteers of Citizens' Club for actively supporting the project and appreciated Forest and Environment Minister Th Shyamkumar for providing tree saplings to Lions Club of Imphal Valley.
