Imphal, January 21 2019:
Kangleipak Students Association (KSA) has alleged that the recent claim made by Interlocutor RN Ravi concerning the signing of an Accord to bring an end to the Indo-Naga peace talk, is a deliberate attempt by the Central Government to divert the people's attention from the burning issue of the Citizenship Amendment Bill 2016 which was passed by the Lok Sabha on January 8 .
A press release issued by the vice president of KSA conveyed that the Central Government should know that such cheap political antics will not be successful in derailing the voice and protest of the people demanding the immediate withdrawal of the CAB.
If the Central Government does not put an immediate stop to such acts of creating communal tension among the people by virtue of the ongoing peace talk, the people will one day rise in open revolt against the Government, KSA warned.
KSA continued that the people cannot be fooled by the antics of the Central Government to divert the people's attention from the CAB by bringing up the Indo-Naga peace talk and added that it is high time for all to stand united against such political manipulation of the Government.
