Apna Dal (S) not to entertain undergraduates

While stating that an elected representative bereft of education will not be able to bring development especially in this present age of technological advancement; Apna Dal (S) Manipur Pradesh president Konthoujam Manoranjan has stated that the party will not field any candidate whose educational qualification is below undergraduate in the upcoming 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly elections.
Apna Dal (S) Manipur Pradesh Organisation Section and All Round Development Organisation (ARDO), Kei-rao Kendra jointly organised a one-day political convention to facilitate fielding of a Apna Dal (S) candidate from the constituency, at ARDO Ground, Keirao Makting Makha Leikai on Sunday.
During the convention, a 15-member election committee was also formed.
Election Campaign Committee of MI Khan chairman Sahabuddin Shah, Apna Dal (S) Manipur Pradesh working president Moirangmayum Thoiba, general secretary (organisation) Biren Chongtham, retired BDO Md Noorjaman Khan, ARDO president Md Jalaluddin Shah, Keirao Makting GP ex-up pfadhan Abdul Kaher, AMSU ex-executive Konsam Raj, Sandang Senba Village resident Kh Leirung Maring and Apna Dal (S) State Executive member Md Naziruddin attended the convention as presidium members.
Speaking at the event, Manoranjan pointed out that an elected representative is responsible for enacting laws and as such, he/she cannot be someone who is capable of only using his/her thumb impression.
As such, he urged interested person(s) who do not fulfill the education qualifications not to lobby for party tickets.
"Union minister of Commerce and Industries and party president Anupriya Patel's main objective is to uplift the poor and weaker sections of the country", he added.
Informing that Apna Dal (S) will be fielding 30 candidates in the upcoming polls, Manoranjan said that if Keirao AC elects MI Khan as its representative for the party, he will surely be appointed as a minister.
Candidate aspirant MI Khan said that Apna Dal (S) is the most compatible political party for the state which is made up of various communities.
The party is continuously working to bring the small and minor communities on par with major communities in the country.
He continued that Keirao AC is inhabited by different communities and as such, the people must reject candidates who want to use the communal angle to win the polls.
The people of the state must understand and stay vigilant against the attempts being made to divide the bonds between various communities, he conveyed.
