Imphal, May 19 2018:
BJP Manipur State Unit spokesperson Ch Bijoy has claimed that the Congress party which was the single largest party during the last Manipur general Assembly election, was not able to form the Government as it failed to physically produce four NPP MLAs in front of the Governor.
Speaking to media persons at BJP State Unit office yesterday, Ch Bijoy claimed that the Congress party, which won 28 seats failed to properly inform the public about how to form the Government and instead'alleged the BJP, which won 21 seats, of being invited by the Governor to form the Government through unethical practices.
BJP party was able to produce 32 MLAs and as such N Biren Singh was sworn in as the Chief Minister, he claimed and lambasted the Congress party saying that the party has become disoriented and is not fit to be called a National party.
Speaking about the Karnataka election, the BJP spokesperson stated that the results of the Karnataka election clearly shows that the people are getting fed up of the Congress party.
The formation of the Government by the BJP is a development which came after the election results, he added.
Claiming that there has never been a scam during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's tenure, Ch Bijoy alleged that the Congress party constantly led to around Rs 3 crore in loss per day by disturbing the Parliamentary proceedings.
He criticised the Congress party claiming that the party does not have faith in the judiciary as well and added that the party tried to impeach the Chief Justice of India and tarnish the image of the Governor in the eyes of the people.
The Congress party is in power only in Punjab and Mizoram now and it is only a matter of time before the Congress party is wiped out completely from the country.
On the other hand, BJP State Unit general secretary administration, K Saratkumar said that the charges levelled by the Congress party in the current Karnataka political scenario are false and baseless.
The Congress party is trying to taint democracy in the country, he claimed.
