OIAC condemns

Stating that Sagolsem (O) Roji Devi (30), w/o S John of Charangpat Nepra Company under Wangkhem AC, who went missing since April 11 was found eloped to one Irungbam Open of Bishnupur district, Organisation for Indian Women Against Crimes (OIAC) has condemned the act in the strongest term.
Irungbam Open was arrested by a team of police yesterday and Roji was handed over to One Stop Centre Home, Thoubal, after her husband and maternal parents declined to accept her, said a statement of Women Against Crime, secretary, A Robita Leima.
It may be mentioned that Roji went missing on the day of the Lok Sabha election on April 11 and public of Thoubal Awang Leikai and maternal family members had blocked NH-102 .
Police had arrested members of the husband's family in connection with Roji's disappearance.
Irungbam Open and Roji became acquainted with each other via mobile phone and kept in touch for about a month before eloping on the first meeting, said OIAC and added that the conduct of both Open and Roji is immoral and condemnable.
