Imphal, November 14 2020:
The Zeliangrong Students' Union Manipur (ZSUM) has appealed to all the school authorities (private and aided) not to collect more than 30% of the monthly tuition fees from the month of April as mandated by the Government of Manipur.
As the whole Nation is facing immense hardship due to the pandemic, ZSUM appealed to the school authorities to stop pressurising the parents and students.
ZSUM also said that they have received numerous reports of schools threatening students that they will not be allowed to sit in the online final exams and no promotion subsequently.
ZSUM further said they will probe such schools which do not comply with the Government's norms and if found guilty will pressure the relevant authority to ban such schools.
ZSUM will join hands with the parents/guardians association to check and control the collection of school fees beyond the Government's given rate.
