Youth Challenging Camp begins

The 'Two Days' Youth Challenging Camp' is all set to begin from August 14 under the aegis of the youth department of Kuki Baptist Convention Centre Church, New Lambulane, Imphal under the theme, 'Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity..' with Evangelist Tongkhojang Lhouvum as camp speaker.
This two-day long camp is said to be an unprecedented event unlike other such camps organized by different churches in the past.
It is a composition of spiritual as well as secular where Class VII and above are the eligible criteria to get registered at the camp and besides Christian teachings and personal counseling some well know resource persons will also be having sessions on topics related with contemporary issues.
The camp speaker will inculcate campers spiritually related with Christianity while prominent Christian leaders Rev..SPrim Vaiphei, president All Manipur Christian Organisation (AMCO) and Mr Joel Boipu Haokip, SDO/BDO Parbung will be presenting seminar papers on "Christian love and marriage" and "Career Guidance" respectively on 14th August and on the second day Dr.Joshua Daniel, Dean Trinity Theological College Koirengei, Manipur and Dr Leban Serto, Co- ordinator, Dept.
of Peace Study, Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong will be presenting seminar papers on the topic "Drug abuse and growth of technology - Its impact on youths of today" and "India Look East Policy and its impact on the young generation of today" respectively.
"In this hectic competitive world of 'survival of the fittest' and with the increasing technology, youths of today feel insecure of their survival and everyone is busy running pillar to post in search of secure jobs or prospect future life.
No doubt it's an unavoidable endeavor for youths to struggle for their future," the statement of the organisers said.
