The proscribed PREPAK has relaxed the ban imposed against LPG distributors even as the outfit cautioned of stringent action against five agents for what it termed as defiance to its intimation for negotiation/surrender.
Speaking to news per sons somewhere in Imphal East district today, assistant commander of PRE PAK's Task Force and Recovery Roshan said decision to lift the restriction was taken after an agreement was reached with, representatives of LPG distributors on five conditions.
The agreements would entail the agents to make public the monthly quota allocated to agents, produc tion of number of consumers enlisted with each of the agents, the agents tasked to ensure that home delivery dealers do not trade off the essential item in the black market, ensure each and every consumer possess requisite documents (gas book) and to facilitate the consumers acquire filled cylinders at the prescribed rate.
Asking the agents to strictly comply with the agreements Roshan warned of appropriate action against the defaulters and that violators would have to shoulder responsibility for any consequences.
While appealing to all concerned particularly NGOs and local bodies to extend all possible cooperation in PREPAK's endea vour to ensure that essential item reach every genuine consumers, Roshan also enlisted Kimjo Gas (Chura chandpur), Salanthang Gas (Churachandpur), BD Gas (Chandel), Tadubi Gas and Senapati Gas Agency as the agents/distributors who failed to honour intimation of the outfit.
