JAC demands relief to road mishap victims

Imphal, May 31 2012:
The joint action committee on bus accident Tamenglong-Duigailong (JACBATD) has demanded the government to pay ex-gratia/ interim relief of Rs.5, 00,000 for those killed, Rs.1, 00,000 for those seriously injured and Rs.50,000/- per rules for the rest of those injured on April 24, 2012 accident at Duigailong.
Submitting a memorandum to the Chief Minister in this regard, JACBATD recalled that in all thirteen persons sustained injuries, out of two of them later succumbed.
The deceased were identified as Thiudingliu Nemme (47), W/o (L) Rev.Hangke Newel of Tamenglong ward no.2 part II, who was working as attendant at Govt.T.B.Hospital, Tamenglong and Ningthuilui Gonmei (38) W/o Ninguangpou Gonmei of Sangrungpang, Tamenglong.
The injured are Kehing(25) S/o Njangtuing of Njukuak Taosem; Gaichangsuiliu(19) D/o Ningkamang upper Sonpram; Damaris (35) W/o Adin Kamei, MBC, Chinmeirong; Keinneliu (65) W/o Husuang, Guigailung, ward no.2; Sanjay (29) S/o K.N.Jha ,Pitambura, Delhi; Manlak(50) S/o (L) Thiubonang, Riangpang; Guingthonglung (27) S/o Merasing, Salem Leikai, Tamenglong, ward no.4; Namdipou(27) S/o T angamang ,Charinapang, Taosem; Lungaiga (Sebastian)(19) S/o Gailinlung, Kahulung; Asutosh(27) S/o Premkumar, Pitambara, Delhi.
Gaichangsuilui has been admitted to Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) ortho ward and Damaris to Regional Institute of Medical sciences (RIMS), while the other injured were given treatment at Tamenglong District Hospital.
