NECEER to organise Nature walk at Kangla

Imphal, January 31 2014 :
In an effort to connect the people back to nature and explore the natural beauty of Kangla and Imphal city, North East Centre for Environmental Education and Research (NECEER) , Imphal would be organizing the 2nd Nature Walk at Kangla on February 2 .
The walk will start at 9 am from the Main gate of Kangla near Johnstone Hr.
Sec.
School and will enter Southern Gate after walking along the Kanglapat.
Participants of the nature walk will explore the plant diversity of Kangla.
The event would be a apart of NECEER's two-month long awareness campaign on environmental issues and biodiversity conservation in Imphal East, Imphal West and Bishnupur districts.
The environmental organization started the campaign by organizing two-day long 3rd Enviro Youth Summit of Manipur at Keibul Lamjao National Park in January 2014 followed by lecture on biodiversity conservation at AIK School, Ningthoukhong in Bishnupur.
The organization will conduct field surveys in Nongmaiching Hill Range and Langol Hill Range, and will also organize state level Nature Painting and Essay competition at DM College of Commerce in the month of February.
NECEER is an international award winning non profit environmental organization based at Sagolband Tera, Imphal.
