Contradictory reactions over Lilong protest

Imphal, January 25 2015:
In an unprecedented development over the ongoing protest a Lilong following the death of a student, a public meeting convened on Sunday has strongly condemned the decision of Lilong Political United Link (LIPUL) to impose indefinite bandh along Imphal-Moreh and termed the bandh call as illegitimate.
Locals also burnt effigies of three key members of the organization at Lilong Bazar.

The meeting also unanimously resolved to furnish detailed reports on works for widening 4-km Lilong-Waithou road through media and constitute an organization christened as Lilong United Political Forum (LUPF).
It also resolved to hold another public meeting at Lilong Bazar on January 27 at 11 am in connection with the bandh call.
Volunteers of LIPUL burnt effigies of Chief Minister O Ibobi and Agriculture Minister Md Abdul Nasir.
