Imphal, November 23 2018:
Bhartiya Modi Army (BMA) National president Dr Rajiv Ahuja has assured that water bulbs (bulbs run with water) apart from bulbs which consume very less electricity compared to conventional bulbs, will be introduced within a few months in Senapati district in view of the power supply problem in the district.
He continued that the bulbs will be also made available at Senapati market at subsidized rates.
The BMA National president made the announcement at a reception function at Mini Indoor Stadium, Senapati Town, after participating the TirangaYatra which was held earlier at the same town.
Explaining that the water bulb will run for around 42 hours after it is immersed in water for just a few seconds, Ahuja stated that the lesser power/electricity consuming bulb will also ensure a saving of around Rs 15 when compared to other comparable LED bulbs.
The initiative will be taken up under "Ujjwala Yojana" with special focus on providing employment to unemployed youth in the country and under the initiative, youth who can sell 1000 water bulbs can earn Rs 10,000, he added.
He then asserted that the problems faced by the people of Senapati district, including the pathetic road conditions will be conveyed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The function was also attended by BMA, Manipur State president K Bishorjit Singh, Manipur State Disaster Management Authority Vice Chairman Adim Pamei, BMA National advisor Dr Arun Kapoor, BMA National president (Industrial & Business Cell) Vimal Manuja, BMA, Senapati District president P Thaiko and Senior BMA leader Benjamin Tao among others as guests of honour.
