Imphal, July 23 2010:
Inquiry into the controversy surrounding the recruitment results of Primary teachers is almost complete and no one whatsoever position one holds will not be spared if found guilty, assured Manipur Education Minister, L Jayentakumar in Assembly on Friday.
He said that he had received information regarding the inquiry over the leakage of results as near completion from the high level enquiry committee.
Manipur Assembly witnessed uproar over the controversial results of Primary teachers' recruitment on Friday with opposition leaders demanding clarification from the Government particularly the concerned Minister.
The recruitment results of Primary teachers were splashed in an Imphal based newspaper before it was declared officially and subsequently the results were put through as under investigation by the Education Minister.
Opposition leader, Radhbinod Koijam pointed out that if the primary teachers DPC scandal is not solved at the earliest, chances are that opposition parties may ask the ruling Secular Progressive Front (SPF) Government to step down.
He further said that due to this scandal, some people have demanded for resignation of the Education Minister.
The opposition leader went on to say that clear cut information should be placed before the Assembly at the earliest and no one should remain mute spectator over the issue.
Inspite of giving assurance to solve the controversial results, the question lies whether one should believe to the education minister or not, added Radhabinod Koijam.
