KEDO cleans Kwairamband bazaar ahead of Sangai Festival

Kanglei Economic Development Organisation, KEDO conducted a garbage cleaning drive at Kwairamband bazaar in connection with Sangai Festival which begins tomorrow.
Earlier, Social Welfare minister AK Mirabai Devi launched two sugarcane juice machines and two egg puri makers for KEDO during a simple function at the Kwairamband bazaar.
KEDO volunteers cleaned three Women's Market (Ima Keithels) to make them garbage-free markets ahead of the Sangai Festival.
Speaking at the function, AK Mirabai hailed KEDO for maintaining a work culture and working towards maintaining a self-reliant economy.
She said foreign tourists coming to Manipur always want to see the three Ima Keithels first and hence they should be kept clean.
KEDO members have become protectors of all women vendors of Kwairamband bazaar, the minister said while seeking support from people for the organisation.
Kangla Pao chief editor P Abochouba was also present at the occasion.
