Khemchand, Biren wish students

Education minister Y Khemchand and chief minister N Biren have extended their best wishes to students who are appearing in the class X and class XII examinations commencing respectively from March 5 and March 7 .
Speaking on the sidelines of inspecting a seven day cleanliness drive in Imphal city area on Monday, minister Khemchand noted that COVID-19 pandemic severely affected the education sector for more than two years.
After the promotion system was adopted for two years, the upcoming class X and class XII examinations will be the first to be held after the pandemic.
He thanked teachers, students and parents for accepting the examination schedule and expressed hope that both the board and council which are conducting the class X and XII exams respectively would not put questions beyond the lean syllabus set for the exams.
He then appealed to students to appear the exams calmly.
Meanwhile, CM N Biren advised the students not to be depressed by the questions that could not be answered and asked them to attempt good replies to those questions, the answers of which they have prepared for.
He encouraged them to remember that these examinations are merely bridges that are laid before them to cross with calmness of thought and fairness in action.
He further advised them to make an experience to learn from, for life will throw them many more steps and bridges to cross.
He urged the parents, teachers and guardians not only to motivate and guide the students so that they can meet the challenges with confidence, but also to get up and walk with greater learning and resolve if they do fall.
"Once again, I pray that all our students perform well and come out with flying colours," Biren said in his message.
